Information on Program Changeover

Who is offering house league soccer in St. John’s this summer?

The House League Youth Soccer Program, previously offered by the City of St. John’s, will be offered by the St. John’s Soccer Club.

Why isn’t the City offering house league soccer anymore?

The City hasn’t always offered soccer programs. In 2006, the City of St. John's assumed the operation of the Youth Soccer Program due to the rapid and dramatic growth in the sport. At the time, the program had more than 3400 participants from St. John’s and surrounding areas, and volunteer management.

In the last couple of years, youth soccer has expanded in the community. Consequently, the number of children in the City’s program has reached the point that an outside organization is both willing and able to deliver this program effectively.

Will my fees be raised?

For 2014, the St. John’s Soccer Club has committed to no increase in registration fees.
